The other day while perusing the fruit bowl in the kitchen I noticed our bunch of bananas was getting particularly brown. Not wanting them to go to waste I quickly thought up what I could make. I was in the mood for something sweet, but didn’t want to labour away making anything too complicated. I thought about making another batch of my fabulous Paleo Banana Bread, but when I looked in the cupboard I realized I didn’t have any almond meal. So I put my thinking cap on and what I came up with was nothing short of sensational. This recipe is paleo, gluten free, dairy free, and can be made sugar free too. But best of all it takes about 5 minutes to put together; just blend and bake!

Ooooh…those sound really good. I love all the healthy ingredients you’ve used. I have all of them sitting at home, so I know what I’m going to make this weekend. Bookmarked!
Hope you enjoy the recipe…and you can change up the nut butter too! I’m thinking ABC (almond, brazil, cashew) butter would be great for my next batch
Healthy blondies, oh yes please. Banana and peanut butter really go well together.
These look ridiculously good – a must try on my next baking excursion!
So yummy and healthy and healthy! I love to bake with leftover bananas ~ also peel and freeze them for banana soft-serve, which I have when I want ice cream. Fave sugar-free goodies lately have been chia seeds soaked with water for 15 min till gooey, then with full-fat coconut milk and a small sprinkling of cacao powder. Bittersweet chocolate chia pudding, super-delish and easy!
Haha, yes, I wrote healthy twice
Accidentally, but it’s true. They’re THAT good for you!
Chia pudding sounds excellent. I put some in the freezer as well. Hopefully it gets hot enough to make some soft serve…or I might just rug up and eat it anyway haha
Those look so good! I’ve seen people try the chickpea blondies but these look more my style
I’ve never had chickpea blondies, but have made black bean brownies. They were pretty successful…even my veggie hating brother ate them!
You can’t go wrong with PB and banana!
It is the ultimate food combination
i make these! http://foodielovinle.com/2012/03/17/banana-oat-protein-yummuffins/
gonna try out your recipe- im wondering if i could use some PB2 in place of the regular peanut butter though.
oooo your protein muffins look great! the PB2 would probably work but i’m thinking they may not be as moist. Let me know how it turns out
i think i’ve made these before, but with almond butter. Gotta make some more!
and i’ll be making some of ur healthy bites this weekend…that book is awesome lindsay!
yea! keep me posted.
Oh no no no…These look WAY too good. I’m honestly afraid to make them (because I might eat the whole pan.) Love this recipe!
Thanks! I find them to be pretty filling so they are hard to overeat
Peanut butter and bananas are a match made in heaven- Sounds like a great idea for a blondie, too.
Reblogged this on Robby Comstock.
Yum, i’ll definitely have to try these. Loving peanut butter lately. Thanks for the recipe.
Wohoo, I have all these ingredients at home, except I’ll have to use honey instead of maple. I’ll have to make this today! In fact I’m going to do this straight away. It looks nice and warm, just what I need now.
Honey is a perfect substitute! They will be lovely and sweet. I hope you enjoy them
Made these tonight. They tasted amazing! I halfed the cinnamon and added 1/4 cup of Enjoy Life chocolate chips. Super yummy! They reminded me of a moist banana bread. I will definitely be making these again!
so glad you liked them! Adding choc chips would be super yummy…I’m going to have to try that this time
